Westmont, formerly known as “Whiskey Hill”, due to the large number of speakeasies erected during Prohibition is now a Soccer Mom type community in Chicago's western suburbs. With a wide ethnic diversity and good school systems, this community is convenient to work or play. Westmont's claim to fame is that Alex Frehse invented the Ice Cream Sundae in Westmont in 1896.
